I had a Cassio camera that I lost. They didn’t have the exact model anymore, so I decided to buy a refurbished one of the same model I had. I ended up buying a three-year extended warranty plan. And the other day, when I called the company where I bought the refurbished camera, the guy who answered my call gave me the number of the company with the warranty plan and then added: “If you have any problems, just call us back…”
When I called the second number, it sounded like their phone was broken (perpetual very fast busy signal). Then, I called the first company back…and I had to call their sales dept. because their customer service line had a recorded message which would say: You call should be answered in one minute. If you want to stay on the line, push #1. If you want a call back, push #2. I would push #1 and after a minute, the same recording would come on. I went through this with this company before…where it just kept saying you have one more minute…eerr.
Anyway, when I called back and started to tell a different guy now answering the phone my problem, he listened for a minute and said he would have to put me on hold so I could talk to his manager. After a little while on hold, the manager (I presume) got on the line and said that the other company had been having a problem, and it seemed they had gone out of business…but that they would call Cassio and see if there was anything that could be done for me…and that he would call me back. I asked when he would call me back. He said, “Give me till tomorrow,” and he never called back.
three days later:
I just thought I would let you know that I got an email from Cassio today, so maybe the manager of FotoConnection did follow up.
However, the customer service person told me that i would have to send the camera in to see if Cassio would bend on the fact that I was sending it in a few days after their waranty ended (remember, it is the company that offered the extended waranty that I bought through Foto Connection that went out of biz). Still, Right now was to begin the BEGINNING of my three-year waranty coverage (not the end of it).

We all know that the politicians and the suites-(business and legal)lcan have endless legal and political conversations on whether they should , can or even to allow AIG employees to receive BONUSES. But in a functioning society should not the receivers of these bonuses be asking themselves is it MORALE and ethical to take such a payment when their failure to perform has contributed to the financial havoc. I dont think there is anything in contract law that stops them from saying No thank you. Its not appropriate at this time. I will take the personal responsibility to stop the madness. Its something to ponder as they stimulate their ME (not we) economy.
Enjoy you Sunday.

You should get a kick out of this one. I lease a new car and go on line to my insurance company GEICO to get a quote on insurance. It comes up some $370 per 1/2 year, less then I pay now for my car. I call them to give them the VIN number and they tell me its actually $560 per 1/2 year. I ask why the difference from the internet quote and the lady says “well you have been a preferred customer with GEICO for 13 years and the internet quote is only for new customers, not existing ones”. I went ballistic. I am a preferred customer for 13 years and I have to pay more than someone you have never done business with? She apologized, agreed it made no sense but said she could not do anything about it. I guess I try Progressive later today. Courtesy of Andy D. NYC.
Shout out: so who do you want to contact if you want to shout out about Geico: http://www.geico.com/about/corporate/at-a-glance/
Perhaps Warren Buffet- since Bershire Hathaway owns Geico; http://www.berkshirehathaway.com/

this is like the best story.. because we have all experienced these words” we have no record of you”. Well ive been making payments for years to HFC (aka househould finance) and just spoke with someone for 30 minutes.. yes 30 freakn minutes, in the USA last week. who had to conference call with my dad whose account it is. they wanted to verify who I am(good police). IF it is the first time! But it is the third time we spoke and had sent them twice the documentation to confirm my identity as an authorized user. But the India system and the USA system just have trouble talking.. Must be the ACCENTS.. (LOL).. Of maybe it in HINDI. I used to have another theory which was make the client be late so you can raise the interest rates due… But they blew that one out after we asked them to lower the interest rate. theY DID. UMM there is a financial god! (sorry if i offended anyonewith the use of the g word). So now a week later I am calling them again. this time I get a Indian call center.. Guess what they cant find me.. please hold… only 5 minutes .. ya hoo… They find me and I am real again.. now the payment is made. All good . at least until next month. GOT ANY GOOD CORPORATE LIAR STORIES . LAY IT DOWN.. THANKs
